Thank you to all our members and friends who donated soup to help feed others in need in San Diego County. Debbie Birden and Marcia Carucci organized this project and had a goal of 222 cans and thanks to your generosity were able to deliver 718 cans of soup to the San Diego North County Food bank. Elmer Jarmon, staff member for SDNCFB, helped them unload the bags of soup and told them that many of the cans will be going to children in Oceanside for their Food for Kids Backpack Program, where children of low income families receive bags of food to take home in their backpack on Friday afternoon so they have food on the weekend.
