On November 11th Jeff Campbell visited the ALNC chapter house to present Beverly Charles, president of the Assistance League of North Coast, with a check for $5,000 to support the Clothing for Children Program. Jeff and his wife Linda maintain the Judith Campbell foundation and were greatly impressed with the work our chapter does to provide children in Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista with school clothing. For some of the younger children in this program, it is the first time they were able to actually go shopping at J.C. Penney's to choose new school clothing. Each child is presented with a voucher to purchase $200.00 of clothing and shoes. Jeff contacted us after the presentation and told us that when he went home and shared with his wife the information about our program they decided to donate an additional $5,000! We are very grateful to Jeff and Linda Campbell and the entire Campbell Foundation for this very generous contribution.
