The Working Professionals held our first, and very sucessful, fundraiser for this year on August 18th, Chairperson for the event, Marie Duire, worked together with Five Suites Brewing in Carlsbad and the Society of Barley Engineers to create a Beer Fest which featured 30 craft homebrewers from throughout San Diego County. Members of our chapter brought potluck food and there were 26 raffled prizes donated by the brewers and members of ALNC. At the end of the evening awards were presented to the top three brews which were voted as best by those attending. The winner was titled Chef De Forre and was created by Jason Arcand. Marie said the event earned $2,770.00, $200.00 more than the last time in 2019. All proceeds will go toward students' programs in Carlsbad, Oceanside, and Vista
