Teachers' Grants

TEACHER GRANTS AVAILABLEUP TO $500 PER RECIPIENT!!! Assistance League of North Coast (ALNC) is offering certified elementary and middle school teachers in public schools in Carlsbad, Oceanside, and Vista the opportunity to apply for grants in an amount up to $500. These funds are to be used for providing enrichment activities, improving the educational process and supporting educational excursions. SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28 To apply, please mail your submission (hardcopy, typewritten only) to:LynnSmith, Teacher Grant Program, Assistance League of North Coast,1816F Oceanside Blvd., Oceanside , CA 92054 Your submission should address all the following requirements: 1. Your name, school, school phone number, grade level, email address, best contact phone number, project title, and grant amount requested. 2. A detailed, clear description of your project/program, list of objectives to be achieved, how they will be implemented; and how the educational process will benefit. 3. Itemized cost of the project/program. 4. The number of students by grade level that will benefit. 5. Explain in detail how you will monitor the project/program and evaluate and document results. 6. Upon completion of your project, submit a letter to ALNC describing how the benefits of your project/program made a difference in your classroom, in students, and/or in your school. Please note: requests for iPads/tablets or similar electronic devices and/or computers will NOT be considered; requests from clubs, after school programs, or summer programs will NOT be accepted. All submissions must be received by October 28, 2022. "Enduring Stories" Fundraising Event at the Oceanside Museum of Art

ALNC celebrated its 30th Year Anniversary with a fundraising event, "Enduring Stories" held at the Oceanside Museum of Art on March 26th, 2022


2022 Action Week

Barnes and Noble partnered with ALNC in creating a Book Drive for the month of December, plus a Book Fair on December 5th and another on February 26th. Over 850 books were collected and donated to the Chapter's "I Love to Read" program


Food 4 Kids Backpack Program

The members of ALNC raised over $4,100 this month to provide food to fill over 683 backpacks for North County Food Bank Food 4 Kids Program

Aviara Golf Tournament Huge Success

One hundred forty-four Golfers donated their time and money to participate in a Benefit golf tournament which raised over $10,000 for ALNC


Sondra Peppe, Volunteer of the Year

Sondra Peppe was surprised when the board of directors presented her with flowers and balloons and announced she was the 2021 Volunteer of the year


Beer Fest

The Working Professional Group for ALNC held a Beer Fest at Five Suits Brewing on August 18th, 2021

Verlaine Ford "Volunteer of the Year"

Verlaine Ford was chosen Volunteer of the Year of 2020 for her years of dedication, both as manager of our Thrift Shop and for all the other volunteer work she has completed over the past sixteen years.


620 Jackets delivered to Bobier and Foothill Oaks Elementary Schools

Pat Allen organized members to bring boxes and bags of 620 jackets and coat to children in need through our Winter Warmth program,


20,000 Books Purchased for Kids and Still Counting!

Our Philanthropic Programs, under the leadership of Kriss Stewart, are finding ways to provide services to our school children during the Coronavirus.


Bringing Sunshine to members of our chapter with the "Maskquerade Brigade."

Members of the Assistance League® North Coast Chapter created a "Maskquerade Brigade" which visits other members at their homes. These dedicated women have brightened the lives of so many people as they sing and share gifts of caring. They have been highlighted on two of our local television stations.
