Leaving a legacy for those to follow.

Three times a year, our volunteers meet boys from New Haven at JC Penney. It’s a one-on-one experience with each volunteer helping a boy shop for his new outfits. The boys are extremely grateful and our volunteers treasure the thank you notes they receive from each boy. So far, we have been able to purchase enough books to start the first library on the New Haven campus. The boys not only helped to design the library, they used skills they acquired in the campus woodworking program to make bookcases. Their motivation and pleasure was significantly enhanced by their being involved in a project that will benefit future generations of New Haven boys.
