I Love To Read

Making reading rewarding

Each school is assigned an volunteer liaison who works throughout the year with the schools to provide assistance with the program.  The program, reaches out to youngsters in schools that have a 50% poverty rate or greater. Each child who signs up for ‘I Love to Read’ is given a goal and if the student accomplishes their goal the student receives a book for their personal library.A grateful librarian wrote, “The children take their books home and read to their brothers and sisters. I have been overwhelmed by requests for books to read. All agree that this program is ‘so awesome’.”
