Through referrals from school staff, Assistance League of North Coast aids children from Oceanside, Vista, and Carlsbad elementary schools.
Most Wednesday mornings during the school year, you will find us meeting kids at their school. Members team up one-on-one with each child to help them pick out a pair of shoes that fit and are good playground wear. Each child's shopping experience is complete with a pair of shoes, six pair of new socks, a kit of hygiene items, and an extra bounce in their step as they proudly return to classroom activities. The excitement and appreciation that the kids exhibit makes this a very rewarding experience for all of our members.
